Experience
Mr. Harris concentrates his practice in intellectual property
and patent law and its implications on business objectives.
He is experienced in a variety of intellectual property and
patent litigation matters. Mr. Harris has counseled clients
in patent portfolio management; patent, trademark, and copyright
validity and infringement; and strategic R&D planning,
business development, and freedom to operate matters. He has
extensive transactional experience drafting and negotiating
patent and trademark licenses, and settlement, technology development,
confidentiality, and purchase and sale agreements. Mr. Harris
has performed intellectual property due diligence investigations
with respect to acquisitions and divestitures. Mr. Harris’ practice
involves all aspects of patent application preparation and
prosecution.
Mr. Harris has experience in chemical, mechanical, medical
device, electrical and biochemical technologies.
Prior to starting the Harris Firm, Mr. Harris gained extensive
experience in private practice and government service.
Most recently he was associated with The HT Than Law Group
in
Washington, DC. While in law school, Mr. Harris was an
intern for the Hon.
Delbert R. Terrill, Administrative Law Judge for Intellectual
Property, United States International Trade Commission
in Washington, D.C.
